Senate at its 192nd Regular meeting held on Thursday, 29th November, 2013 re-emphasized the need for students of this University to develop their IT skills and be computer literate.
Senate therefore approved that all students should undergo a compulsory IT training and be certified by ITC in collaboration with Microsoft before graduation.
The compulsory ITC program whichshall commence with Years 1 and 2students (DE. 2012 and DE. 2011) ofthe 2012/2013 session shall be for six (6) weeks duration as follows:
Activities Amount
ICT & Digital Life Style (mandatory) N10,000.00 per student
Professional Training
and Certification
(Optional) N20,000.00 per student
I am directed to bring this to the notice of all students and to stressthat the compulsory for all Years one and two students with effect from the 2012/2013 academic session.
By this notice, the Director ITC is requested to work out the modalities forthe program, for theinformation of all affected students.
