Award winning singer, Beyoncé Knowles must have worked up an appetite whipping her new bob around on stage at V Festival.
On Saturday, Aug. 17, the singer and her entourage put in a $2,261 (£1,444) order at an Essex location of Nando's, a casual dining chain popular in the U.K. for its chicken.
In a receipt making rounds on twitter, an order placed under the name of "Beyonce K" includes 58 wing platters, 48 whole chickens, 12 veggie burgers and 24 coleslaw orders.

PHOTOS: Dog Donates Blood To Save Poisoned Cat!!!

Traditional animal rivalries were set aside in New Zealand when a dog's blood was used to save the life of a poisoned cat in a rare inter-species transfusion, reports said Wednesday.

Cat owner Kim Edwards was frantic last Friday when her ginger tom Rory went limp after eating rat poison, rushing to her local veterinary clinic at Tauranga in the North Island for help.
Vet Kate Heller said the feeble feline was fading fast and needed an immediate transfusion to survive, but there was not enough time to send a sample to the laboratory for testing to determine the cat's blood type.
Instead, she decided to take a gamble and use dog blood to try to save the animal, knowing it would die instantly if she gave it the wrong type.

Edwards called up her friend Michelle Whitmore, who volunteered her black labrador Macy as a doggie blood donor in a last-ditch attempt to save Rory, a procedure Heller said she had never performed before and was very rare.
"People are going to think it sounds pretty dodgy - and it is - but hey, we've been successful and it's saved it's life," Heller told the New Zealand Herald.
Edwards said the cat appeared to have come through its ordeal unscathed, seemingly without any canine side effects.
"The vets just went above and beyond... it's incredible that it worked," she said. "Rory is back to normal and we don't have a cat that barks or fetches the paper."

Shoprite Unveils Plans To Build 44 New Outlets In Nigeria!!

Shoprite, Africa’s biggest grocery store, unveiled ambitious plans to build 44 outlets in the next three to four years in Nigeria.

Shoprite Group Chief Executive, Whitey Basson, revealed the expansion plans while presenting the company’s half-year results ending June 30.

The retail company's report according showed that Shoprite outlets outside of South Africa, where it is headquartered, recorded higher sales figures compared to outlets in that country.

Basson said the company's foreign outlets registered a 28 percent jump in sales in the 12 months to the end of June 2013, nearly three times the rate of growth in its home market during the same period.

During the period, South African retail sales grew by less than 2 percent, lower than expected, according to statistics.

Basson said the company hoped to capitalise on its outside successes by building additional outlets in Nigeria where it currently operates six outlets.

"The bulk of the new stores would be in oil-rich Nigeria and Angola. The company sees scope for 44 new outlets in Nigeria and 21 in Angola in the next three to four years," he said.

Shoprite currently has 153 supermarkets in 16 countries outside South Africa.

Bloodshed As Police Allegedly kill Okada Rider!!!

Fracas broke out, yesterday, in Ikorodu following the death of a motorcyclist after he was allegedly shot by a Policeman attached to Ikorodu Division, Lagos State.

The tragedy struck around 4p.m at Ojubode area leading to a serious gridlock which lasted for hours as the deceased’s colleagues trooped out to protest the killing.
This resulted into pandemonium as commuters and residents scampered for safety. Also, shops and offices were shut for hours by owners for fear of the unknown.
Although information was sketchy as at press time, an eye witnesses said the motorcyclist identified simply as Haruna, met his untimely death when the Policemen stormed the area to impound his motorcycle but the deceased refused arrest on the ground that the Policemen visited last weekend asking him to part with an undisclosed amount of money.
To his surprise, the same Policemen came back yesterday to impound the motorcycle and out of annoyance, Haruna refused to release the motorcycle and started struggling with one of the Policemen.
According to reports, one of the Policemen fired a shot at him, which led to his death.
Vanguard gathered that the corpse was removed by the Policemen to an unknown destination while scores of motorcyclists were said to have gathered at the palace of the Oba of Ikorodu to protest the killing.
In a telephone chat with Vanguard, Chairman, Motorcyclists Association of Lagos State, MOALS, Ikorodu zone popularly called ‘Jendor‘’described the incident as barbaric and called on government to bring the perpetrators to book.
He said: “As you can see, we are very busy now, you can hear a lot of noise from our members. This is too much for us to bear’’
Haruna’s death occurred six months after a policeman attached to Ikorodu Division Corporal Goroye Folagbade, was dismissed for stealing an impounded motorcycle from Saheed Owolabi of the same Ojubode park.
Effort to get the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide’s comment proved abortive as she could not be reached on phone.

I’m trying to let people know there is a spirit behind prostitution, if not, why after getting married, I have everything, I live in Lekki, I’m driving a very big car and my husband gives me whatever I want, so why would I still feel like going into prostitution?
There is a spirit behind it. I continued prostitution even after getting married. The only thing that changed me was being born again and being delivered.”

Priest Defrauded Woman, Have S*x With Her to Exorcise Demons!!!

A Guangzhou man purporting to be a Taoist priest defrauded a woman of 20,000 yuan after convincing her to have sex with him to "exorcise demons".

According to Haizhu district police, on July 23 a man, surnamed Huang, visited a feng shui store and struck up a conversation with the sales assistant Xin (pseudonym).
After a brief display of what sounds like basic cold-reading, Huang convinced Xin that he had supernatural powers and told her he was a Master Dragon Seeker.
Huang also introduced Xin to his female disciple, Youxin, a "female geomancer". On July 30, Youxin and Xin met for tea.
After Xin confessed an unrequited love for an older man, Youxin told her to book a room at a nearby hotel, specifically Room A12 on the 4th floor as that was where the "chi" was most powerful.
"We've done many rituals there before," Youxin said. After she had taken a shower, Xin was told to put on some lingerie.
"This way, we can see what's in your body", said Youxin. After examining her the "geomancer" told Xin that someone had put a curse on her and that "only my master can set you free".
After the "Master Dragon Seeker" arrived he told Xin that the person she was in love with had placed a curse upon her.
Xin and Huang began negotiating the cost of the ritual he would perform, with the sales assistant settling on the cheapest ritual at a bargain price of 32,000 yuan.
Xin admitted that she could only afford 20,000 yuan however, so Huang "convinced" Youxin to loan her the remaining 12,000. Xin was told she had to pay back the loan within 49 days or the ghost would come back to haunt her.
Ghosts are sticklers for things like that. When she arrived at Huang's house the following day, Xin was reportedly too freaked out to sleep (the ritual apparently required that she be asleep) so she was given sleeping pills which she gulped down with a bottle of beer.
Xin was again made to shower (ghosts hate cleanliness) and then dress in the lingerie Huang had chosen.
The only way to exorcise the demon was to have sex with the priest.Though Huang was adamant that they weren't having sex as he had a condom on.
 Xin would later tell police that Huang claimed to have exorcised the evil spirit in under five minutes.
"He also claimed to have been a virgin and had never touched women before, so the entire ritual was a huge sacrifice for him," she said.
Feeling like she might have been duped, Xin confided in her boss. When the two arrived at the conman's apartment they found that he had vanished.
Youxin was also out of contact. Huang was apprehended by police on August 1, after which he claimed not to have had sex with Xin.
"We Taoist priests are not allowed to do such things. If you don't believe me, we can get a doctor to check.
I have very severe diabetes and have long been impotent. I'm also almost blind," Huang said. Pressed for information on the exorcism itself, Huang said that there were some things that "metaphysics and science cannot explain".

Kanayo O Kanayo Gets Appointment From President Jonathan

 Reports reaching us confirms that veteran actor, Kanayo O Kanayo has received an appointment from President Goodluck Jonathan. The prolific actor was made a board member of one of Federal Government's parastatals.

A statement signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim, confirmed this in Abuja yesterday, where members of other boards were revealed.

The actor was made a member of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism Studies.

KOK, as he is fondly called, has been romancing President Jonathan's administration before his appointment on Tuesday. He has been one of the major liaisons between the FG and Nollywood.
