6 policemen nabbed for killing driver, burning truck!!

SIX mobile policemen attached to the Ondo State Police Command have been arrested for shooting a tanker driver, simply identified as Mr. Friday, dead and setting the truck ablaze, last Wednesday.
They are currently being detained at the state police headquarters, Akure, having allegedly confessed to committing the crime.
A Warri-based business man, Mr Muminogho Orogboh, the owner of the brand new trailer truck head coming from Lagos  to Warri  told Vanguard that the six policemen stopped his truck at about 2. a.m close to the Ore toll gate  and after questioning the driver, allowed him to continue his journey only for them  to shoot at him in company of his manager, Mr. Henshell Gbugbadia who escaped death by the whiskers by running into the bush.
The policemen, it was gathered, thought the manager was also dead in the bush and  reversed the new trailer head toward Lagos direction and set it ablaze to blot out any evidence.
Gbugbadia later called his Managing Director to brief him on the development and the matter was reported at the Ore toll gate police station from where the patrol team on duty that night were summoned and disarmed, having denied knowledge of the incident.
Explaining further, Muminogho said the DPO in charge of the Ore Police station then ordered that the truck be brought to the station.
The Police Commissioner later sent for the suspected policemen. After orderly trial, they allegedly confessed to  the crime, saying they had to burn the dead driver and the truckhead to erase any trace of the incident because they did not know that the manager survived.
According to Muminogho, the Chairman of NUPENG Rig Move in Warri, Comrade Ochuko, said they had taken over the matter to ensure justice and adequate compensation to the family of the deceased driver including a thorough investigation and prosecution of the suspected mobile policemen.
