Woman Burns Down Her Home While Trying To Set Snake On Fire

Don't mess with Texas snakes.

A woman in Liberty Eylau, Texas, burned down her home while trying to kill a snake by setting it on fire, KHOU reported.

"She saw the snake, threw gasoline on the snake, lit the snake on fire," Bowie County Sheriff's Deputy Randall Baggett told KSLA. "The snake went into the brush pile and the brush pile caught the home on fire."

The woman, whose home was located on Will Smith Road, can be heard on a 911 recording explaining what happened, according to OKCFox.

"We were trying to kill a snake with fire It done caught the house--"

"Caught the house?" the dispatcher interjects.

"Yes, the house is on fire. Could you hurry up please?"

Her neighbor's home was also damaged by the blaze.
